A lifelong (Informal) Learning Experience in Architectural Design Education: The Case of KBU Department of Architecture with Competitions

In Today's conditions, where the information flow is intense, it known that education given only in schools insufficient for architectural education, and importance of individual development outside school increasing. Competitions, whose educational contributions many studies also draw attention to, are one essential alternatives this personal development. It vital to raise architecture students’ awareness by motivating them improve their experiences thanks competitions. context, a series competition were held with Karabük University (KBU) students promising approach, which not uncommon process. These national-level competitions based on different contexts carried out under authors’ design studio studies. A survey study these has been conducted contestant non-contestant students.
